About Durwest:

Durwest specializes in the management of large-scale multi-unit residential, commercial and institutional projects from concept to completion.  We provide Project and Construction Management services primarily in the Victoria, BC area with some involvement in projects elsewhere in British Columbia.

Candidate:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record as an experienced estimator and will have minimum of 5 years of estimating experience with a construction manager or general contractor, with an emphasis in institutional, multi-unit residential and commercial construction projects with a value up to $25 million.  Knowledge of Windows based applications and estimating software is a requirement.  Experience in contract administration of projects would be an asset.  Position will appeal to an individual seeking long-term employment with opportunities for career advancement.

Qualifications:

·         Minimum estimating experience of 5 years on various type projects including providing estimates in the design and working drawing stage

·         Demonstrated experience assuming overall responsibility for development of data base, cost estimates and budgets.

·         Excellent understanding of construction both technically and contractually.

·         Advanced skills in developing in-depth estimates from schematic design and initial take-offs to final pricing.

·         Proven experience in successfully working with a team and various subtrades.
